MIKE SCHUHLER

The Author

Mike writes horror for readers who'd rather feel a room go cold than watch something jump out of the dark. His fiction lingers in the space between the ordinary and the unexplainable — old houses, small towns, and the quiet things that don't add up.

He lives the itinerant life of a military spouse, writing wherever the next set of orders happens to land.

Purgatory is his debut novella.

Mike Schuhler’s journey into the dark and mysterious world of horror literature is anything but ordinary. After serving with unwavering dedication for two decades in the United States Marine Corps, he now channels his experiences and insights into crafting tales that both haunt and captivate.

With degrees in English and Human Services, Mike blends a storyteller’s finesse with a deep understanding of human nature, creating narratives that linger long after the final page.

As the author of the gothic horror novella Purgatory—a haunting tale set on a remote island—Mike has established himself as a master of the macabre. His spine-chilling short stories have also earned spots in anthologies worldwide, cementing his place among horror’s most compelling voices.

When he’s not conjuring dark tales, Mike enjoys connecting with readers who share his love for the eerie and the mysterious.
